Ok...[/Brief derailment from the OP]Aunt Sue may have retired from her Hassey and can shoot a mean Coolpix with one hand tied behind her back. And, yes, you can go that route of classes and books, and freebies for clients. But I suggest a slight modification. Find a mentor who is doing work worthy of good money and (if you must do things for free) do it for the mentor to gain professional level feedback. Clients gush over the right smile. Professionals will get you to the next level where the lighting is right AND you captured the right smile. And a million other things along the way, like contracts and other basic business survival skills. And they will tell you when you can feel comfortable with charging for it. Then and only then will your philanthropy be truly appreciated.
