I purchased a battery grip from a TPF member, but haven't received the item, and am not getting any reply to PM's.
Am I being paranoid, or should I be concerned ?

I'm not sure it's time to panic yet, but he should respond to your PM, as a matter of common courtesy.

FWIW, he was signed into the forum today at 1721L.

Sounds like a mail problem. I can understand that. Plus he's willing to refund your money if you want. I'd give it another chance.

I did get a reply on the for sale thread. I'll not panic.
The first comment on the decidio page made me suspect.

I can understand your concern after seeing that. I had a member not return messages, phone calls and emails once. I made a visit to that members home and things were taken care of a few days later. It always pays to be cautious these days. At least you remember paying for it and what it was! I think he'll come through Tom. If not we need to know.
