A fine gentleman, at least he seemed like one in interviews.
I hear his casket will be lined with "rich, Corinthian leather."
Someone asked him about that phrase, used for a Chrysler TV ad he was in, if it meant something. He laughed and said it didn't. | | | |

The articles said that he was the ultimate gentleman off stage, a devoted father, and just an all around great guy. He was one heck of an actor, and set the stage for others to live up to.

My wife could never get his name straight. Without fail, she would refer to him as Cardo Remontalban.

Now wouldn't it have been great if Ricardo Montalban had gotten that job "island tending" in Queensland?

He was probably one of the most dignified actors around. Eloquent, kind, gracious, faithful to his wife for over 63 years until her passing last year.
