The little guys are quite gullible! But in WV as a kid, I learned very young that it wasn't smart to try that!!!

I thought every kid up north did that one time in their life. But you just have someone go in and get a glass of warm water and pour it over your tongue.
I did it on a pump handle on a farm in Michigan when I was about 7.

We used to do this with icicles. After a moment the body heat would melt it off. Not something you can do here in Texas very often.

One hot summer day, I got my tongue stuck to the coils of the refrigerator we had at the time... I thought that frosty ice would taste pretty good!

I saw this quote on a greeting card one time (I promptly bought it and gave it to my mom for Mothers day):
