I used to think that nobody was dumb enough to fall for one of these. The other day I heard a caller on the Dave Ramsey radio show ask how he could get his 20 something son out of the jam that he was in. He fell for one of these and was in debt for a couple of grand. Stupid Tax Dave calls it.

Ole Dave Ramsey, I like him but he goes a little overboard sometimes. I understand the whole debt free thing and I mostly live that way but its hard to buy a $140,000 truck and $70,000 trailer with cash.......

I think that the true victims of this are older people - they don't understand how the internet works - and they think they've actually won smething. I read the states a while back, and the percentage of over 60+ that was being taken advantage of in this matter was eye opening.

I immediately sent all the older folks in my email address an email regarding scams/etc - just warning them... especially all the ones that forward me the stupid 'if you'd just checked snopes you'd know it wasn't true' stuff... THOSE are the ones who fall for this stuff.
