Lens Baby or Canon Tilt Shift? The next thing for the camear bag.

Tilt and Shift. Canon's 24 T/S is nice.

The Lens Baby is a fun toy, but not a serious lens, whereas the tilt/shift is a fine lens that can probably mimic the Lens Baby effects. I have a Lens Baby and it has a few specific applications, but the t/s has so many more capabilities. They are apples vs. oranges, so to speak.

I would guess from your question that you are looking for a gimmick lens. That's the lens baby.
If you want a serious architectural lens, get the T/S.

Nope not looking for a gimmick lens. Now after digging through web sites and reviews I can see where the two have different applications now and the T/S is what I need to shoot for.

I'd go T/S. I have been interested in trying the new Lens Baby Composer, but wouldn't try to replace a T/S with it.

LOL, Brad. Never hurts to ask, does it. Thanks for the input. I want to have a diverse tool box. I know many of the effects can be simulated in Photoshop but I would like to have the option to start with a original image. I will set my sights on adding a tilt/shift to the inventory.

Lensbabies look like so much fun. Can you rent both for a while and see what you like better? I doubt it, but you never know.
