I saw that a few weeks ago. There is no doubt that large areas of Texas are in drought or near drought conditions. BTW- the view from that bridge has been bad for at least 2 years. That's the worst though.

I was driving on some back roads this morning and could not see water in any of the stock tanks. Erath county is hurting. Also, I saw peach trees with red shoots and the honeysuckle is starting to leaf out. If we have a hard freeze, a lot of plants are going to suffer freeze damage.

Weatherman's calling for rain the next three days, but I'm not holding my breath. Here's the other side...it's quite as bad...

San Angelo area has gotten .27 inches since late October, farming and ranching are getting tough. Wildfires are popping up all over the place, without any rain its going to be a very tough year. | | | |

Had some grass stuck under my jeep near the exhaust pipe Thursday: It caught fire then fell out in my pasture: I got really, really, really lucky that it happened in reach of a garden hose, and if I had caught it about 30 seconds after I did, it would have been beyond my control: could have been ugly. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
