Good lord.

Better prohibit SLR owners from using lenses longer than 35mm, too, to make sure that the natural shutter sound is audible from all usable distances (your subject probably won't hear your shutter sound if you're at 400mm).

We should probably just ban manufacturers from making lenses longer than 'normal.'

From what I saw online, this proposed bill didn't get much attention - it doesn't even have a co-sponsor and appears to have little chance of passing. While it seems silly in light of the real issues of the day, I understand that the goal was to cut down on teens taking pictures of others without their knowledge in places where their privacy rights would clearly be violated - like bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. Since I haven't seen the bill, I have no idea how this was supposed to accomplish that. There's no legislating good judgment and common sense, though.

We have civil courts where one can sue if they feel violated. We don't need more laws.
