Help with online photo sharing. - 01-28-2009, 04:04 PM

I currently have an account with Exposure Manager but I am not happy with the way it displays my photos. The photos are too small when you view them, it resizes them to about 500 pixels wide and with todays monitors I would like something that showcases them a bit larger. It would be nice to see a thumbnail and when you click on the thumbnail it shows a larger version that is smart enough to detect the viewable size of the webpage.

I like the fact that exposure manager does not allow a right click to copy photos and this is a must for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is an example of how exposure manager displays my photos:

I don't use it and it has not been updated in a while.

Lonnie, you can change that setting. I've had some where I boosted them up to 800 pixels on the long side. Are you wanting something for sales or just display?

Roy is correct. Login to your admin area. Choose a gallery. In the toolbar of that gallery hover your mouse over the GALLERY tab. A drop down box will appear, and then you select EDIT SETTINGS. After the EDIT SETTING window appears choose the IMAGE SIZES option. Here you can set custom sizes for all of your photo's thumbnails and image quality.

Thanks guys! I didn't know.

It worked when I created a new gallery but I have not been able to change my current pictures. No biggie because I don't use the site anyway and the pics I have on their are from when I first started photography and need to disappear anyway.

Here is another question if you don't mind helping. I liked exposure manager because you could set protection on your photos and that is a big plus for me. The problem I see is after i upload the picture is not as sharp and I noticed they compress my files. The photo below was 350KB original and now it shows up as 100KB and you can see some distortion from the compression I guess. Also if I set it to be able to link to the photo the protection is gone and now you can copy it. Is there a way to link to the photo in the protection mode?

What I want to do is upload a high resolution file to exposure manager and then link to it from TPF but I still want to be able to protect my image from right click or copying it.

Thanks in advance for your help.
