This has been around for a while but I didn't see it posted here. This will make your butt pucker.

Glad to see nobody was hurt. That sure would be scary to see the road rise up taller than your vehicle as you drive........

Just wait till you see the IED's and EFP's they plant in the concrete barriers here in Baghdad. There are huge walls we call "T-Walls" that were placed to separate the neighborhoods in order to keep the flow of criminal/terrorist activities to a minimum. They find ways to hack a hole in the concrete overnight and place the explosives anywhere from 3 to 6 feet high. EFP's are the absolute worst explosives we deal with here.

Dang.. DH deploys in the fall... glad they weren't on it. He told me about a chaplan that was at Ft. Hood when he was up there, he was in a vehicle (that had the full plate) that drove over an IED - the Chaplan was the only one that survived. I told him to find a place to stay, and STAY there, no long drives around to check out the sites. I do NOT want a knock on my door from the government....

It's getting really quiet here. The people have come a long way around to help minimize this stuff. There are a lot of good things happening here. A lot!

I'm glad to hear it.

I guess the bombers buried that IED too deeply or made it too small. The explosion was fairly slow-moving, I think because of all the dirt it had to lift.
