Anybody know what Galveston currently looks like?

I am off tomorrow and weather looks nice, 70* and cloudy, so I am thinking about heading down to Galveston to check it out and take the Bolivar ferry over by crystal beach.

I haven't been down there since Ike hit, since work has been really busy, and was actually hoping to get some pics of wreckage that Ike caused. Is everything cleaned up for the most part or is there still a chance to photograph some of the destruction?

I was there close to the beginning of the year and a lot was cleaned up, but there was still quite a bit of destruction.

Overall I would imagine that you will have plenty to shoot while you are down there.

I don't think you'll find much in Crystal Beach as far as recovery, but probably lots of photo opps.
