Its still a bit windy here but most of it seems to have passed. It blew off 1/2 the shingles on my roof. Ive never had that happen before. I have had toys blow away out of the yard, but not the shingles flippin off like they were tissues. The thudding I was hearing earlier was the shingles hitting the door, the car, the windows...

I live by Lake Travis and didn't even know this thing was coming till guy I used to work with sent me a text about 15 minutes before it hit. Little bit of wind, some rain and some small hail. My thermometer outside was reading 76f before it hit and after 55f.

We had about two minutes of heavy rain by White Rock Lake. Knew it wasn't going to be bad because the weatherman didn't roll his sleeves up and loosen his tie.

My house is directly east of Austin, so in the screen shot below, the red was covering my house lol... Good timing!

So Sarah an I were sitting there last night and the wind steadily kept getting louder over a minutes time. All the sudden it sounded like a train next to my house. Sarah and I looked a each other with big eyes and jumped up, I ran out back and she went to the front door. When I hit the back yard, the wind literally made me stumble sideways! No tornado, but the wind was INSANE!

This morning I noticed the truck a few houses down has a broken drivers window. At first I thought hail (which we got last night), but then I noticed the stereo ripped from the dash. That makes me SO mad. We live in a little neighborhood by itself in the middle of a field. Generally speaking, we have no crime in our little few blocks. My wife and I both have decent head units and park in the driveway. If they come to my house tonight, and I hear them, they will be surprised when I run out Glock in hand!

We got lots of rain, some wind and pea-size hail last night, but no damage.

No damage here either, from what I can see. But it sure is pretty (and cool!) outside today.
