Abandoned Places, very cool site - 02-11-2009, 12:23 AM

I found this site a few years ago and fell in love with it. I got a new comp a while back and never transferred my bookmarks so i'd forgotten about it. I recently needed to get some stuff from my old computer and ran across the bookmark and immediately marked it again.

This guys photos are amazing and the places he goes are stunning. I can spend days looking at all of these awesome pics.

Click the locations link at the top of his page to see all of the places hes done. There are several galleries for some places. Hope you guys like it as much as i do!

I suppose that most of their haunts are overseas? We have ghost towns in the U.S., but nothing as extensive as what exists in Europe (though, some closed military bases in the U.S. are comparable).

This is just awesome, but I am sure my boss will hate you for posting this... I could look at these all day (and probably will)

Yeah, id love to find places like this around here, but it seems like all of the good places are out in the middle of nowhere, and mostly new england area.

Thanks for the link - I love old places. There is the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells; although I'm not sure how interesting the interiors would be.
A second one is the Marshall Hotel in Marshall Texas. It's being renovated, but when I last saw it - it still looked creepy. By now they might have scrubbed all the patina off.

Well, that should be the challenge for us. They have "ghost towns" in Texas. They have old, run down buildings all around. Look at the Swift meat packing plant in Fort Worth!

I've been wanting to go inside the swift facility for a while now, but still haven't gotten the stones to go past the front staircase. One of these days though...

Come on, guys. San Antonio, Austin area and you are telling me there is nothing like the Swift meat packing plant anywhere around you all? Or ghost towns or abandoned forts??
