Question Do you carry your camera manual? - 02-18-2009, 01:50 PM

I was clean out my camera backpack and noticed my trusty manual. I still make it a point to keep it with me on every assignment. How about you?

I did with my A100, carried it for a month or two with my A700, and my A900 is similar enough to the A700 that I do not.

I can't vote here.

I have mine in my main TT Roller... However, probably 75% of my shoots are done with a smaller bag in tow.

i generally keep mine close-i'm too stupid to remember all of the custom functions esp for my speedlights and controllers or, it could just be the drugs. at this point it all fades together

I don't carry the manual, but I do carry a little cheat sheet and I have an iPhone with a web browser...

Mine is in the camera bag. I need to use it more than I do.

I have a small cheat-sheet type book that came with this tutorial thing for my camera. That is in my camera bag. I am not 100% certain where the actual manual even is. Oh wells, I have the internets on my phone! Who needs things like books and papers?

I've been shooting Nikon long enough that I don't really need to refer back to the manual, so I don't carry it around.

I do not...however in the past I've considered purchasing a "cheatsheet", I found a website a while back that had these nice laminated cards you could carry for various models.

speaking of which...a book on the D300 I purchased came with a "wallet cheatsheet". I should probably punch it out and put it in the bag.

you rock!
http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/...en_noprint.pdf
Nikon D300 manual as pdf

Printing option for this 448 page manual is deactivated unless you have the serial number that comes with the D300

thanks soo much, which makes me think I should grab other useful pdfs and keep them on my iPhone :)

No, I have no real reason to keep it around - it's in my file cabinet with all my equipment receipts and the like.

You left off an option - "I have no idea where it is"

Actually, I do.. its in the closet still in the original box... did that in case I ever decided to sell it, but I think by the time I'm not using it anymore, it probably won't be worth anything. LOL
