Matter is composed of atoms. Atoms are full of empty space. I forget where I got this quote but I've always liked it. In fact it's a sig line in a lot of forums that I've posted in

"If the nucleus of a sodium atom were the size of a golf ball the outermost electrons would lie 2 miles away. Atoms, like galaxies, are cathedrals of cavernous space. Matter is energy."
With that thought in mind, since we are composed of matter we are therefore composed of mostly empty space. We are in a sense, an illusion. Kind of like in The Matrix but not really. When we touch something... we don't really touch it. The charge of the other item is equivalent to the charge in the atoms that make up our body and like charges repel. The force is so powerful that we do not ever actually touch anything.
That is all...

Carry on
