Wim Wenders is more than a film about a photographer. It has in a very interesting conversation by Death (Dennis Hopper) and Finn.
"...it has that fun-to-make-fun-of scene where Death argues the merits of digital photography vs film photography, in the best way one Dennis Hopper can deliver; but while it’s easy to assume that the photography discussions are metaphors for the big idea regarding death, I’m convinced it’s the other way around. Wenders engineered this whole meditation on mortality just to talk about artistic artificiality."
More details here. Just wish the U.S. release hadn't been cut 20 minutes. Oh, well just have to wait for the DVD version. Wonder if it will ever make it to Dallas?
