I think I read somewhere that 4G has been up and running in Korea for a while.

EDIT: That would be South Korea. DPRK is still G-less.

I'd like to have comprehensive, fully functional 3G first.

Let's remember to be optimistic and grateful. I used to hate to call my friend, because he had more than one zero in his phone number, back when we had rotary phones. I remember when TV series where now, "in color" and I did not have a color set. Finally saw the TV series, "Batman In Color"! Wow.

Heh, it helps to live in the metroplex. I've got 3G coverage probably 95% of the time. And most of that I'm actually on HSDPA (kind of like 3.5G - you can get 2-14Mbit/s downloads).

Of course, I also got a phone that can CUT AND PASTE. lol. ;)

The problem is the United States is so big geographically. South Korea is so small physically (Its about the size of Maine) and densely packed thereby making it really easy to rollout to new tech. Moreso since their backbones are already on fiber. They had about 3.5G during 2002, my cousins were watching fully streaming video of the World Cup at the time.
