It depends, since flags have come and gone on the walls down there over the years. Frank Campagna painted a few for building owners...

I think one is current near malcom x and commerce, maybe within a block or two radius. In any case, DE isn't that big, you could drive around and see it all in a few minutes.

There's a Texas flag painted on the side of a restaurant down Elm St. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but I think it is near 1st street. I know it's a ways down from Cafe Brazil as you go away from downtown.

There's also a gigantic flag/Statue of Liberty mural painted on the side of a bank in Southlake. It faces west, so you'd see it (left side of road) when driving from Keller.

That doesn't answer your question, though. Just thought I'd throw it out there!

I believe the flag you are speaking of is on Commerce Street and faces away from DOWNTOWN-so you hav ve to look back- I THINK IT is on the ANGRY DOG.

If you look at almost any pictures of artwork/painting on walls in DEEP Ellum less than 1 year old they are pretty much gone-considered graffitti by the city and have been painted over by the property owners so they don't get fines, pretty much eliminated a lot of the photo ops in DE.
