Just how far are you willing to go to get the shot or help someone else? For me, I will even subject myself to the following :)

Life is tough for some people! Glad you were willing to make the "sacrifice" for the sake of an image.

This is the ultimate length.

The bullet pierced camera of the Japanese photographer, Taizo Ichinose, used in Vietnam is now preserved in a family shrine in Kyushu, Japan ( Rikio Imajo ).

What's a bring down to a person having courage and a true commitment to their profession? People like him, Larry Burrows, Sean Flynn, Dana Stone, Henri Huet, Robert Capa, show what it means to go to any length to get the shot. That's I why I have far greater respect and admiration for the Jim Nachtweys, Don McCullums and Greg Marinovich's of the world than any photographer safely shooting away in a studio.

They work very close to the Horns.

It just seems a bit serious for inclusion in an obviously light hearted thread.

No question of your intentions. Just thinking that a sense of humor would help.

In the overall scheme of things, you are correct.

However, given the tone of the original post and image, I'd have to say that the shift from light-hearted camaraderie to solemn statement of commitment was an obvious change of gears. While no personal offense was intended, I do feel that the transition qualified as a "bring down".

Hey Captain, didn't you just mention that lap sitting technique in the "how many shots" thread?
