don't tug on Superman's cape;
don't spit into the wind,
don't pull the mask off the Lone Ranger,
and don't mess around with Jim the Baliff!

Duh, why do you think scetch artists are used in so many court room stories? Only a few courts allow cameras in them and most trial courts do not. Now out in the hallways is another animal alltogether.

THIS IS ONE INSTANCE that if you are dumb enough to use a camera you turn over the memory card to the officer!

oh im sure some one will post that he/she (the photographer) was well with-in their rights, and well with in safety limits, and how now they are going to have the Judges job! cause they (the photographer had a business card that has the title "LAWER" on it.) no que no ! Good for the Judge for backing up her/his Bailiff and good for the Bailiff too !! DONT MESS WITH THE MAN/WOMAN WITH THE BIG STICK (GAVIL, GAVLE sorry spelling) or the teaser too.

I'd be very surprised if the photographer were a lawyer. And, this is one instance in which the photographer did not have the right to take the image. Don't think they will get much sympathy and/or support for their actions.

In some federal courthouses, you are not allowed to take a cell phone, Blackberry, PDA or laptop, in addition to other electronic devices through the front entrance.

Aside from that, the thing to remember is that the judges have more power than the mere photographer. Even though someone may argue that "they were within their rights", the judge is within his/her rights to find anyone in the courtroom for contempt on grounds that can be as inocuous as "showing disrespect for the court."

Life's too short for those hassles.

Maybe when they can stop twitching and get up from the floor.

I suppose if you get tasered with your camera, wear a neck strap and fall on your back.
