US Airways plane from the Hudson - 03-12-2009, 05:04 PM

I had a friend of mine that lives back in NJ send me these camera phone photos. Once they pulled the plane out of the Hudson, they actually transported it through East Rutherford, NJ.

Now, that's one heck of a tractor trailer!!!

I've seen that trailer on a show on the Science Channel.
The wheels can all turn.

Wow! So who's steering that trailer? Front wheels steering left, rear steering right.

My guess is either a) that guy from BJ & the Bear or b) Jerry Reeves.

It's got to be someone with a lot of skills!!!!

It's probabably the guy standing on the back of the trailer. I've seen some that have a seat on the back for an opperator.

the guy on the back steers.

I saw one of these threading the streets of Houston one day. The weird part was the load was a caboose....and it followed rr tracks a lot of the way.

I will admit those streets look a lot narrower....and the load a whole lot bigger!

If they can land on the Hudson, why can't they take-off from the Hudson and just fly that thing back?
That would be much easier if you ask me.

Why'd they take it through the streets? Just for the halibut. (Sorry. I couldn't help myself.)

Now for the rest of the story... They stopped at a convenience store for the truck driver to get a cup of coffee and while he was inside, some thugs broke into the plane and stole the stereo! Friggin Jersey!!

True story...

It's like a parade. What you dont see are the people standing in the door throwing candy and crack rock.
