Costcos has been consistently good with their prints and very reasonable with large prints. Until I got a large format printer they did all of my 13x19 prints. Their profiles are vey good.

The best way to go is with your own printer and a custom profile to fit your camera. With a calibrated print profile your pics will blow you away.

I couldn't believe the difference a calibrated profile to match each of my cameras made. General profiles for different cameras don't take in account the differences that exist in each camera of the same make and model.

me too! :p of course, it's killer to print your own pics on those cuz of how much ink costs. the last time i asked my husband to pick up ink for me at the store, he came home with a whole nuther printer, and when i asked him why, he said the new printer was cheaper than new ink cartridges. O_O

okay guy, where should i go to have 8x10s printed of my fav pics for a personal album? i don't need them to be super high quality cuz it's just for me, but i still want them nice and big to go in a book.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

Hey Abel,
I know I'm a few days late on the discussion, but I've had my photos developed pretty much everywhere and there is no one who compares with Wolf/Ritz. Yep, it's two bucks more but the developement is apples and oranges to the other. The paper is way better for starters.
I asked the Guy at Wolf who developes my film why his was so much better than the other places. He said it was because they have to actually go to school and get certified to process film there, but you didn't have to at other places. He said they were also held responsible for doing crappy work or not paying attention as lots of pros take their photos there for developing.
Hey, It's a buck more expensive, but well worth it. Sign up for the frequent photo deal and you can save a few bucks on each roll.
No, I don't work for Wolf/Ritz, but I've been converted developement wise.
Try them just once and you will see what I mean.

I've used Wolf/ritzpix.com to print 4x6" color here in Austin (183 and Braker) and have been happy with the results. I used the web site to upload the files, and picked them up in the store.
