Photsshop CS vs CS2 - 10-06-2005, 01:07 PM

Greetings All,

I did a search and looked through the forum to see if anyone had thoughts on CS vs CS2. I realize that CS2 has a lot more goodies, but now that youv'e been using it, do you see a big difference?

The primary reason I ask is that I can get a legit copy of CS for $100 ... but don't want to end up thinking I should have gotten CS2 ... any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
P

Get it, and then buy the CS2 upgrade. It's worth it.

For the last 4 years I've been a "Student" (Grad school @ night @ SMU) and during that period I was able to buy the PS suite at a pretty sweet student discount. I finally graduated this past May, but bought the upgrade to CS2 as I was walking out the door.

Is is worth it, for me at my price, yes. CS2 has a number of new or tweaked features over CS and overall it appears faster. Just my 2 cents.

There is a 30 day trial version of CS2 available on the Adobe web site. I've been playing with it for a few hours and so far 'bridge' is a whole lot better than the previous file browser. The spot healing tool is pretty nice too - though not significantly better than the old version.
