I'm headed out to the Rodeo (Salute to the Heroes thing!)-- I'm packing my camera gear - but will check in on my iphone before I get there - are there any rules that I should be aware of before going in? Can you just take your camera gear in?

I'm not sure where I read this but, the HLSR will allow cam equipment as long as it is less than 12" in length. Again, not sure where I read it. | | | |

I know it's too late - but I used my 100-400 last week with no problems. May go again Sunday and use it again.

First note to self: if I plan on actually getting decent photographs : leave the ankle biter at the house. She is adorable as heck but isn't at a sit down an watch stage.
Got a few 'mom' shots - but that's about it.
Second note to self: do upper body workout in order to carry camera + 80-200 lens + 28 lb kid. :-)

When I worked at the Gainesville (Texas) newspaper in another lifetime, the annual rodeo also had "mutton busting." Funniest thing was a kid who took it really seriously (his dad was a real cowboy) and had the hat, chaps and boots on. He did the one-handed rodeo wave while taming the woolly beast. I have a photo somewhere in my deep archives. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
