actually, at 8 miles of track (12.7km) Northlandz is a bit larger; although there are several ways to compare (total sq ft, total trackage, etc, etc etc.), the German layout appears to cover more flooorspace, while the Northlandz layout uses multiple levels to fit more track into less space.

Northlandz is a bit more spectacular in scenery (floor to ceiling running) and definitely of the fantasy style rather than reality-based.
