I was sitting in a Taco Bell in Victoria, TX earlier today. Waitin' on Discount Tire to put some new gold... err tires... on my pickup. I had taken a camera with me on the trip and I decided that I shouldn't leave it in the truck while they were working on it

It might have been safer if I had left it in the truck...
Some how... some way... I walked off and left an EOS1DsMKIII with an RRS Angle Bracket, a 70-200 f2.8L IS, and a Thinktank Digital Holster 50 laying in the seat beside me when I left

Ohhhh but it gets better. Victoria is 60+ miles from my house. I was half way home when I figured out that there was no camera in my seat

even worse... I waited at Discount tire an additional 20 minutes after I left Taco Bell before I drove home... A little glass of unsweet tea... that's all I wanted. Instead I ended up with a years quota of stress.
The lady that waited on me saw it after I left and recognized it as the bag that I had with me when I ordered. Almost an hour and a half later I walked into the Taco Bell... surely looking like I was about to toss cookies... and she smiled and said "I thought you might be back"

She wouldn't marry me

I didn't have any way to give her a reward but you can bet your hind end I'll figure something out.
So... I'm living proof that God watches out for stupid people and there are still honest people in this world.
Just in case I think I'll snag a lotto ticket...
