Question OMG Dog Gas - 04-02-2009, 07:31 PM

My dogs are gonna kill me. I need to wear a mask around them lately. I keep wondering if they had an accident and nope...there is enough smell to fill a zeppelin.

The younger one is teething and eating raw hide. Does that make puppies and older dogs gassy? This is so gross.

raw hide has the same effect on dogs as beef jerky does on men, potent gassiness

Our dearly departed Bogart (the Basset) seemed to wait until we were all together in the minivan.....and a 70 lb Basset has a lot to share.....

However, our Molly (Westie) doesn't ever have gas. She's much too ladylike for that.

She does at times have "vapors", tho.....yowsa!

I have four Bostons (had to put one to sleep last week) and if they aren't gassy, something is wrong. Oh my goodness...it can be sinus clearing!

OMG guys I am ROTFL so hard right now only because I was getting onto my 14 year old step son about something and had my voice raised when our black lab sat right down in the midst of our conversation next to me and let her gas go to town. You could forget the talk ever happened because both the 14 year old and 2 year old were having the laughing fit of their lives.
My black lab could definately clear a room but at least you know when it is her. Now the chi/jack russell...he has the SBD (silent but deadly) ones and it is bad!

I have a 50-pound Border collie who doesn't really have a gas problem, or at least in the house.

Although I always wonder why the neighbors go inside their houses when we let him out.
