What the hell is up with these people!?!?!

I love the place, but good lord those people take every Jewish holiday known to mankind OFF!

I certainly understand observance of religious holidays, but this is ridiculous! I have many Jewish friends, but if they took the number of days off the B&H takes off, they'd be FIRED!

Is it really necessary to take the following days off?:

B&H is owned and operated by Orthodox Jews. If you understood Judaism, you would see that all of their holidays are very important times of remembrance for them. There are other places from which to buy if you need something that badly.

Oh i'm not upset, nor am I trying to make this a religious discussion. I love B&H. I'm just JEALOUS!

I've been there...and the company is owned and predominantly operated by men who look like Hasidic or Orthodox Jewish members ... (dress / style hair like / etc)... their company, their holiday policies...which are mostly sundown to sundown.

All those holidays, and they can still sell at awesome prices...who's to complain?

Americans are the ones who kill ourselves and restrict our holidays and vacation days to the point of barely getting time off to relax from work before having to go back... most European countries get more 'holiday time' than a person in the US gets after 10 years of service to a company...

You left off every Sabbath.. sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.. off.

Just like Chick-fil-A not opening on Sundays or "family" holidays at all... I admire any businessman who can keep hours like that and still turn a profit by creating a product everyone wants. More power to them.

I personally admire them for sticking to their convictions and not selling out. I wish more companies would show their true colors in how they operate their business. At least I know what to expect from them and learn to deal with it.

And I couldn't work there. I'd be broke!!!!

Adorama taks all those pluse groundhog's day and the day after Col. Sanders birthday.

Personally I like a company that does things like this.

Given a choice between Best Buy that could be open 24/7 I would wait for B&H right now.

Once upon a time, before Al Gore invented the internet, we didn't know such things were going on. Patience was a virtue.
