I liked T3. Several people on the T3:SCC forum indicated that they did not. I did not like Claire Danes' acting in this movie, I'm afraid, especially the scene in the particle accelerator building. In the TV series, J Day takes places in 2012, if I understood John correctly. They have jumped forward to be contemporary with us who are watching the show.

I'm starting to understand why the series is failing. Too many timelines, too much time travel confuses the audience and stretches plausibility.. plus when time travel is possible (and easy), so is the "reset button" - something that Star Trek: Voyager suffered from... when you can just hit a button and erase everything you didn't like as a writer... the audience loses interest because there is no suspense.

The timelines don't figure that heavily in the plot. The show has had some great writing and acting, but it has also had some tenuous moments, like the UFO convention. The terminators in our time have become too powerful for them to be so inhibited, I think. I have several concerns about the female terminator that is running the company employing Ellison, just from the standpoint of what her motivations are. Those motivations are all the more clouded now that her "daughter" was apparently the target of a terminator kill job, as was her AI child.

That's exactly why we need to see the rest.

I finally got the chance to watch the season finale. So, now I know what the motivation is of the female terminator who built John Henry. John ended up where he doesn't belong. What he is going to do there, I would like to know.

I actually like the series a lot. It blows the T3 Movie out of the water. T3 was by every means a travesty to the entire movie series. The acting was terrible, and the overall plot was hideous with poor character build up and a poor script.

The show, looks like it has taken a few jumps into a parallel timeline that only the show follows and that's ok with me.

I personally think T3 should have never happened.

I guess that I have no movie taste. Simply putting terminators in action is enough for me (OK, the scene in which the female terminator takes over the emergency vehicles and gets them to do things that they can't actually do was ridiculous). I certainly have nothing against seeing a beautiful woman, either.

The TV season's conclusion is interesting. It changes the perception of the company terminator, though there were hints along the way that the show was going this direction. It looks like John went to Heaven, figuratively translated into a world in which many of the people he loved and lost are alive.

I agree, David. The T3 movie is the worst in the series. The TV show is much better than T3. Looking forward to see the T4 movie.

Perhaps when they say that T:SCC is over, they are hiding their plan to begin a new series, T:JCC?

The entire concept just warps my mind. A Terminator comes back from the future to stop another Terminator from building the factory that the first Terminator was built in - preventing the first Terminator from being built, which means that Factory-Building Terminator can go ahead and build the factory, which means that Time-Travelling Terminator can indeed come back in time and stop it, which means that the factory wasn't built, which means...

I'm wondering how John is going to explain himself to the people in his current situation? I've tried to imagine how that conversation would go, if he explained everything, but it's too confusing for me to follow it.
