I read today that it either has been or in the process of being cancelled.

It was a good premise, but could not retain enough of the flavor from the movies. Too bad.

I didn't make it past the end of first season...

But here's the news item on the rumor... http://www.aintitcool.com/node/40775

Except for a string of episodes when it first came back from winter hiatus this year, this show has been pretty consistently good. It will be a shame if it gets canceled, especially given the way S2 just ended.

At least let me know what happen to John & Cameron, and how the war end.

My impression is that the TV series is supposed to lead into the movie coming out this Summer.

Well since Sarah was dead and gone in Terminator 3... I'm confused as to how the TV show can have much of anything to do with the new movie... but hey, you can do anything with time travel.

Here's a good interview with Brian Austin Green talking about the possibilities of a 3rd season: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=20811

That's just it; in the series, Sara Connor (et. al.) jump forward, past the point where she dies. She is in an alternate timeline. T3 never happened. T4 is supposed to be set after J Day.

I thought the series was set in-between T2 and T3, based on John's age and the fact that Judgement Day hasn't happened yet in the series.

In the series, T2 happened, but Cameron finds John and Sara and they did a time jump in the first episode, landing 8 years in the future (and, naked in the middle of a California freeway). A plot point has been law enforcement's confusion that John should be in his 20s, instead of still 16. The TV series by-passed T3 entirely, as if it never happened. That was intentionally done by the directors. J Day also has a new date (actually, more than one new date, as people from different timelines have come together in the series).

I knew about the time-jump, I just didn't realize they were supposed to have jumped past the events in T3 (then again I only saw T3 once back when it first came out, and don't really remember all that much about it aside from being disappointed).
