But I believe that's Jupiter, not Venus.

yes i know dumb but i had to jump on it...


Either way n my drive in to work i did see it that was about 5:30 am didn t see the shower... but did see the moon and the planet.. verynice.. sorry i didnt capture it...

I could have gotten a great picture of the moon and Venus with the glow of the sun on the horizon over the Andes from my plane this morning but the window was too filthy to get a good shot. :(

Heh, as I told him on Twitter.. last night on the news, they were talking about Jupiter and being near the horizon early in the morning... so I wasn't paying attention well enough to realize this wasn't the same object. LOL

(My days of amateur astronomy are long past... anyone wanna buy a telescope? )
