My mother passed away quietly at 1.30 this morning. She goes to meet Dad, who passed away in October; this is the longest they've been apart in over 62 years of marriage.

This is her HS senior portrait, hand tinted in the classic style. We only recently found this portrait.

Yeah, it's been a rough couple of years......but life goes on.

Ken, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you find some measure of comfort in the memories you have of them both. Her HS portrait certainly portrays her as a beautiful, fun-loving woman.

Ken...I know things are been really tough for you lately. I hope you find peace now that your parents have peace and are back together again. I know you miss them both.

Sorry to hear that, Ken. At least you know she'll be in good company.

I am REALLY sorry to hear this man. They are together in a better place now. I lost my Dad on Father's Day (June) in 2003, and my Mom in late September of the same year, so I know how it is when you loose one parent while still dealing with the loss of the other. I wish you the best, and if you ever need to talk, let me know. :hs:

My thoughts are with you. My mother passed away a little over 4 years ago. Allowing the memories of her and your father to be a part of your daily life will help you heal faster.

What a great photo. Now you know why your Dad married her! He melted at first site.

I am sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.
