Only when my server settings were jacked up. I forget how they got scrambled, but I reset them and it worked great.
It's awfully slow over the Edge, but 3G email is pretty snappy.
What are you experiencing?

The only issue Pika and I have with iPhones is that super weak little embedded advertisement. "Sent from my iPhone"

Pika says if they are going to be tagging ads onto the emails he sends then he wants a cut of the action. That is why we went with the G1. Pika says he's nobody's shill. Well that and he needs the keyboard for his chubby little fingers.

Prophet out.

Sometimes - but it's pretty infrequent....

And I modified that stupid little 'iphone' thing.... 'sent from my iphone'... I think it's supposed to provide an excuse for the poorly spelled words or something...lol....

The error message is "Cannot Send Mail - The sender address was invalid."

Checked my mail settings, and they're all good. I can receive, but can't send.

I got that when I had my SMTP outgoing server set wrong. I have 4 emails addy's setup on my iphone:

Gmail,
Yahoo,
2 @dbeardphotography....

So I have
smtp.gmail.com
smtp.1and1.com
smtp.att.yahoo.com

My primary is the yahoo one... then the gmail one.... if the mail can't be sent, it'll try those in succession...the first 2 are the 'main' ones... so I'd check to see which ones are yours.

I'd check to make sure your outgoing server configs are correct...

It sounds like you have something wrong in your SMTP settings. Double check your password and user name.

It was the SMTP settings (UN & PW). Something got messed up somehow. Thanks for the help.

I actually leave it there, simply so that if I do reply to an email from my phone that it's known that I'm using my phone at the moment and not in front of my pc

I sometimes have issues with my iphone not automatically hopping on my wifi at home. Some days it will immediately recognize it and others it will act like it's a brand new wifi, asking for the password. It's an annoying glitch.
