Chrome vs Firefox - 05-03-2009, 06:36 PM

Firefox is a total memory HOG on my comp AND keeps crashing. I'm about to uninstall it and go elsewhere. For those of you who have tried Chrome, do you like it better than Firefox? In your opinion, what are its advantages and disadvantages?

It's definitely lighter-weight, but certain webpages I have to access for work do not function properly in Chrome, which makes it a no-go for me. It's a pretty small download, I'd recommend trying it out, if the websites that are important to you work like they should go for it. You may also want to try out Safari, it's worked better than Chrome for me, but is a little bigger.

I switched to Chrome when it first came out. So much faster. I do have some difficulty with 3rd party plugins, some Flash and Java uploader problems. Some web pages don't render as intended as well. So I do have to open Firefox every now and then.
