If it was Italian it was Little Joe's in SF. It's been years, but it was some of the best Italian food I've eaten. "Rain or shine there's always a line".

I know that building! Spent some time back in my 20's exploring that area of town (grin). Columbus I believe... If you look south down this street you'll see a big 'ol pyramid.

Ding ding ding... we have a winner. Columbus Street in San Francisco. I had dinner at Calzone's. Back in DFW now and back in SF next week.

You may want to be pretty selective on the menu items when dining in the places you feature in your pictures. You may come away with leftovers that are no good the following day/week/years.

I'm not sure about "Little Joe's" but "Original Joe's" is still around, well sort of. They had a pretty bad fire in October and have been shut down since, except for catering. That place is truly a SF landmark.

Another great place to eat (but very small) is Uncle Vito's Pizza @ Bush and Powell. We stayed at a hotel in that area a few months ago and ate and Uncle Vito's every night. Great pizza!
