Is HBO True Blood any good?

No one has these to rent around here (and I dont have HBO). I read the books and kinda wanted to veg in front of the TV and see if the series was any good. Mike said it looks like FRIENDS in flannel.

I really didnt want to buy them...and keep them forever. And then explain to people Im not a vampire freak...I just thought it was a funny premise and can I still come to Christmas dinner.

Has anyone seen it? Heather, since we have same likes in TV shows (poor Pushing Daisies ) tell me if you've seen it.

But I must warn you...it ain't no Friends in flannel. It's way better. And I hated Friends.

It's an HBO TV series. That should tell you something. Strong language, violence, & SEX (bordering on soft porn). With that being said, it was a good drama series. If you have the chance definitely watch it.

i like the show, but i've read all the books too. so as usual, i love the books so much more than the show. i'm still looking forward to the next season in june!

I like the show, but I liked the books better. It's definitely worth renting.

I watched it last year but got out of tune with when the seasons were did they cancel it??

There has only been the one season so far, and the new season starts in June.

Never read the book, but the show was definitely a guilty pleasure.
