I don't know what planning you are trying to do, and I can't guarantee that STP is the same as the luau you have in mind, but I enjoyed myself at STP when I visited them in January 2006. They run a boat ride up the only navigatable river in the Hawaiian Islands, which my travel agent Mom and I rode. When we got back to the complex, we rode an open-car wagon around the grounds, looking at their landscaping. We watched them dig the meat they had been cooking from out of a fire pit. We watched a presentation by several ethnic dancers. Of course, we also had a good meal.
This was back just 2 or 3 months after I got my first SLR (much less my first dSLR), so, though I have photos of the whole thing, I have learned much about using the camera since that time. I'm still working on putting my Hawaiian photos online.
