Okay I re took some picture of her and changed up a bit using one light set at 1/32 moved it more to the front of her and a large reflector with the silver side. I know that the background is still dark. Please tell me what you think.

Lighting on her is better, yes.. the background is too dark for her clothing and hair color.. you need something back there to separate her from the darkness.

The light is very even on her face and broadly lit, which tends to add a little bit of weight, especially around the neck.. but she carries it well by stretching up out of her shoulders.

I love the earrings.. they really add a lot.

I did see the others, but did not critique.. don't know what advice you were given over there, but you might try to move the light around so the light is less than that 1:1 light ratio you have now.. maybe 2:3 for her face.. don't think I would go as far as 1:2 with her.

I think maybe a hairlight would give you some good seperation.

+1

Also, just something about the camera angle bothers me a bit. It looks a bit low. Agree with Brad's comments on the lighting.

One thing I've learned - is to make good use of a 3 step ladder - I am up and down it all the time. With women - it's WAY more flattering to use it to make you above them - slims them down a bit, which is always a good thing.

+1. This is a great way to avoid double-chin and neck rolls and such. Very flattering.

First let me say thank each of you for your advice and comments. I will take each of them and try to use each of them. If there is any thing else that you find that will help me to improve please let me know. I thank you again.

The only thing that I noticed that others have not already mentioned too much is the background. Perhaps just a little light on the background, not her, just to bring her out in front...
