I'm no professional, but based on my own previous critiques, I'm sure someone will mention hs forehead being darker than his chin. As well, someone will also probably mention that the catchlights are a little low, and the shirt is a little blown.

You won't get much critique if you don't leave the image up.

Don for some reason most of the pics he posts do this. You have to click the little red x and click show picture. Used to do that on the 4/3rds forum too...

looks like you are having a similar problem that I was having. I have short ceilings but I needed to raise my key light. Hmmm, what to do. Pretty simple actually, yet someone had to tell me too. If you are just doing head shots, have your model sit down. That way your key light will be that much higher.

No little red x, but refresh did work. A pretty nice image. The lights need to be higher in my opinion and the umbrella needs to be aimed higher to feather the light off the shirt. You could achieve the same effect in a head & shoulders by seating the subject.

Thanks for all the hints. I had the light up higher when I was using the beauty dish, but I forgot to raise back up when I put the monster umbrella on :(.

I believe it's an 84 incher, it's only partially open in the setup shots.

getting there, the first one looks like the light is shining right at his shirt though, would also like to see a bit more light on his face in pics 2 too. Pic 3 same as pic 1, looks like the light is shining on his shirt first and then spilling onto his face. Just my observations.

In the first shot he didn't see the modeling light (it was off) and turned his shoulder (I forgot that light was on too) back toward it. I need to raise my lights about a foot all around it seems from what I'm hearing.
