Went to see the B-52s last Friday in Galveston at the Grand 1894 Opera House. It was a great show, and I had a blast.
One of the reasons I bought the Olympus E-P1 "Pen" is so I could take it to shows like this where P&S cams are tolerated but dSLRs (or "professional cameras") aren't. For the low lighting, I used the Zuiko 17mm f/2.8 pancake (one of the "kit" lenses available for the Pen), and I also used a Pentax SMC 50mm f/1.7 manual lens with a manual adapter. Even though I was in the second row, the 17mm wasn't quite long enough (even with the 2x crop factor). I used the 50mm for most of the shots. Manual focusing using the LCD wasn't that hard. Autofocus with the 17mm was pretty easy and accurate. I didn't have any problems, though they have slowed down a tad over the years. ;) The one complaint I have is that the spot used for spot metering is too large to prevent blown highlights. I had to be aware of this using AEL on other parts of the scene, plus dialing in EV-0.3. I set the ISO at 1600, though I probably could've used ISO800 with f/1.7. Noise was a little more than I'm used to from my K20D, but it cleaned up okay. Overall, I was pleased with the shots.
Here are a couple taken with the 17mm:
The next two were with the 50mm:
