This class has been keeping me busy! Not only do I have a bunch of images I haven't posted, I have shoots pretty much every day this week. Thanksgiving threw me off my game and now I am a bit behind. Here is what I have been working on though.
We were required to shoot an eyewear ad for an imaginary billboard. The image was to be stylish and to the point. Something that would read at 65Mph.
I wanted to go for more of a vintage theme for my main shot and something a bit more modern for my extra credit.
1- This was shot during magic hour in about 25 minutes. It was lit with a 580exII as key(rim light) with the natural light from magic hour acting as fill. The color was all done with curves in photoshop.
2- This was shot at night using two hensel strobe heads... A background light with just a reflector and a key with a 3' octabox camera left.
One of our other assignments was to shoot a conceptual CD Cover to the title "Make Believe." We got to pick whatever genre we wanted and the images were to reflect that. Being that I am in a people class, it had to have at least one person. Go figure..
3- The model was a real trooper... It was pretty freaking cold outside and she had no complaints when we rained down water on her with a garden hose. This was lit with 2 Hensel Porty heads.... One directly behind the model and raised up about 15' for backlight and background and a 3' octabox as fill. While both sides were shot at magic hour, I adjusted the shutter speed to control the ambient to make the two sides look like sunset and night.
Finally, I shot a fake cosmetic ad.. We were allowed to shoot any facial cosmetic we wanted so I went with mascara.
4- This was lit with one single light at full power(500w) directly behind the model at about 10' high. I used tin foil to bounce focused light back into her face to highlight the eyes. The effect was also enhanced in post.
That is what I have so far... Coming at the end of this week is intimacy, alternative lighting, fragrance ad, body paint, and fashion without fabric..... Yea... I will be busy.
Thanks,
Bryant
