Recent Simple Football Seniors - BWood Bucs - PullBack Included - 12-04-2009, 12:54 AM

In honor of the BIG surprise of Brazoswood High School not only going to the playoff's this year but still winning and playing tomorrow in the COLD weather in Rice Stadium!

Here is the QB of Brazoswood High School which we recently shot as well as one of the Blindside Offensive Guard Scott Brock I just wanted to share in honor of them taking BWood into the playoffs farther than we have seen in our area since 1978. (Yeah its a baseball area not football) :)

Pull Back on how I captured the outside images - three wireless flash units with RadioPopper PX units - CP-E4 battery packs attached to the Denny Mfg EZ stands. One flash has our TriCoast Speedlite Softbox on it which i used as main to spread the light out more, the other two were bare flash which gave me a more defined and harsh light. Set up in a triangle pattern with all flashes sending out the same amount of light. Therefore I create the Main - Fill - Hair/Rim lights by placement in the photo and how close they are to the subject. Also giving me the freedom to shoot any angle inside the field quickly and easily.

Sessions were on different days but I underexposed the ambient light by at least a stop or more to make the already dark afternoon even more dark and rainy to give me the overall mood I wanted to display in the football images.

#2 - Pissed at myself here - I forgot to spread out Chase's feet more to give an even more "manly" pose than he is doing here. With the rain coming I simply forgot and is something I should not have forgotten about.

#3 - Using the wireless flash in the image to add a little more interest

Win or loose this weekend - WAY TO GO BWOOD BUCS! Thanks for making this football season a fun one to be a part of!

Thats some cool shots Mike. I hope the Bucs can go all the way this year, it's been a long time. It's also been a long time since I set foot on Hopper Field,(graduated from Brazoswood in 71).
Those pictures brought back some fun memories.
Thanks for sharing,
Steve

YEah it seems the "auto-renew" did not "auto-renew" on my Senior website. It ran out yesterday.

I just reuped it for 5 years so it should be back up soon!

Seriously thanks for posting not sure when I would have noticed. With the "auto-renew" working the last few years I forget about it!

Well, I like them a lot. Regardless of the perfect stance or not, I think you got some great shots here. I would think the young man should be really happy with the outcome.
