Cute little girl - 12-04-2009, 05:57 PM

Here is one from a recent session. This little girl didn't know what to think about me. She constantly fought not to smile. She was always on the edge of it, but wouldn't let it out. She is sooo cute anyway.

Very cute and yes the processing makes her glow.

Mona Lisa as a child.

Its is a touch hot.( overexposed )

I might be tempted to work on the box highlights in her eyes.
You could lose them completely. Or make them a more natural shape. (round)

Those are small nits on an excellent image.

Well Done !!!

And Welcome to the site.

KJ, thanks for your comments. It is actually how I process black and white, I tend to like it a bit hot when converting to black and white. I blend two layers, one with a blue filter and one with a red filter. Gives it a little bit of a glow. Then used a cool quadtone.

Some people like it that way. Some people hate it.

I lean toward the like it.

In this photo the dress and ribbon on her right/viewers left tend to compete with her face.

Your eye tends to be drawn to the lightest part of a picture.

You could probably burn those areas down if you were so inclined.

But those are nits.

Like I said, its an excellent image as is.

Very Cute little girl..Her eyes are like glass!

I was wondering what caused the halo effect around her left cheek and shoulder?

This is a great shot that the parents will cherish for a long while...
