The Boxer Rebellion @ SXSW - 03-24-2010, 06:32 PM

I love music, so every now and then, I really need new music in my life. I am constantly searching high and low for something new and good. Back in January, I came across The Boxer Rebellion while searching on iTunes and instantly was psyched! I was on a road trip for a month in Hueco Tanks rock climbing and was listening to these guy a ton. So come time for SXSW, and I see that they are on the line up. They actually played a show before the official SXSW music started at a small club. I took my camera in and shot photos of the band playing. After the show, I was able to met up with these guys and I showed them the images on the back of the camera. They were psyched on the images, I got the managers card, and a few days later sent him an email with the concert images. He asked to put them up on the blog and I told him on one condition. I would like to set up a portrait session with the band members. Considering they were here all week long, this wasn't to hard to coordinate. I was able to set up in a small conference room in the back of a club and photograph each band member. Total time, about 15 min. Not only do these guys play great music (in my opinion of course), they are also super humble individuals and were really great to hang out with. I see much success in their future. Here's the head shots that I got of The Boxer Rebellion.

No C&C Love? Are they that bad, that good, or just not worth commenting on?

First time I've seen the post. I like the images; they're good. I think, though, that I would like a tighter, more closeup crop if possible.
