Just a detail comment... #1 she has some lipstick on her rear tooth on the right side and compared to the other pics, the eyes are a different color than the teeth whereas they match in the others. It throws me off because on my monitor it looks like she has the teeth of a smoker, but remembers to use her visine... Other than that, the pictures are beautifully lit and very creative. Are those actual costume pieces she's wearing on her head?

Nicely done. I agree with some points about her age and image suitability but I am conservative that way.

Looking at the eyes one can see an umbrella light reflection above. What is the lower catch light from (light or reflector)? Just curious.

I see this a little different. i know Mark, I know the model and the models mom......I see this as Mark intended, a collection of amazing beauty shots with an amazing girl. Nothing more, nothing less. I do understand the concerns and i guess our opinions are shaped by our understandings.

My comments weren't in any way directed to Mark personally. I was just stating my perspective on the images and the chosen styles and poses. I believe that we as photographers need to be careful nowadays in regards to what and how we shoot, especially when it comes to children; and that's exactly what a tween is... a child.

I agree with the age appropriateness comments, but certainly appreciate the art of the photographs themselves. With a more mature model any negative reaction would be averted.

Out of curiosity, how old is the model? If she is not your daughter, what were her parent(s) reactions or were they familiar with your style and anticipating shots like these?

Not to speak for Mark...but she's 10, and like Phil I know both of them, I'm sure her mother was there throughout the entire thing, and loved all of them. The model and mother have shot with Mark more time than anyone can probably count. All 3 are great people.

Thanks for responding with an answer. I have a 10 year old daughter and wouldn't want pictures like these of her, but to each their own.

Is she a professional model? She certainly has a look that the camera loves.

Faith, she's got a page over at OneTalentSource.com and she's been at it for quite some time.
