Looks like you had a lot of fun Paco... and that's definitely a huge goal. It's also very refreshing to see something "different" every now and then. Thanks.

Melissa, thank you for your comment - you're right that to achieve the glamour look I need to invest more time and pay attention to these details. Will, yes, it was hot but fun - and I left the session feeling like I was getting closer than in previous attempts! Thanks for the encouragement. The truth is that I look at Hurrell images of Norma Shearer, and I realize that lots of factors were involved in creating these silver screen legends - while there is only so much I can create myself, an amateur photographer with an amateur model, in my hot garage on a Sunday, I enjoyed trying anyhow, sweat and all! And since the images were just for Tammy and me, no harm done! I am actually pleased with the stock imagery we did for my library, hopefully they will pay for the rental of the fresnels in a while ! It's all about the journey!

She's a younger Catherine Zeta-Jones double! I love the images. Well done!

Thanks, Greg. I spent a little bit of time post-processing this one below.

#6
Data: D700 with 70-200mm at 120mm, 1/60s at f/3.5 ISO200. Three lights were used:

250 watt 10 in. tungsten fresnel to camera left as key.
650 watt 6 in. tungsten fresnel as hair light. This was much hotter than key and I couldn't control it precisely.
250 watt Home Depot halogen working light shot thru a plant against a white seamless to create the pattern on the background.

Looks like you may have done some post process work on the other posted photos and I like them a lot better. Knocking them down a bit really brought some lines of seperation between her and the background in 2+3 while on 4 her arm tends to blend into her body so may need a bit of work in that area. (either that or my monitor had blipped and darkened things up :) ).

Paul, I have not changed the images - only the little triangle of light Holly pointed out, nothing else.

Does #6 work? I did some makeup changes, like eyebrow thinning, softening of eye shadow, darkening the lips and bringing some light into the eyes.

for some reason on #6 I am being drawn to her ear instead of her eyes otherwise I like the shot.
