I was just about to ask if you used any skin smoothing. I like portraiture. I usually make apply it on a layer mask and paint in how much I want where I want it.
I'm also glad you choose to hang out here even though you're no longer in Texas. I enjoy your work and hope you keep posting. Great stuff always.

What are you talking about Erica? Portraiture or Layer Masks?

Portraiture is a add on purchased separately.

Layers is an integral part of Photoshop. Its what makes photoshop...photoshop. Matt Kowslowski, if I spelled it right, wrote a book called Layers. Pretty good read.

WOW!

All these are great, but I was really struck by # 1. I was not expecting that when I opened up the thread. Good work and thanks for sharing them!

Jordan I am really enjoying your work. Your images are beautiful. (It doesn't hurt that you have gorgeous subjects to work with, haha!) I know someone has already asked about the lighting setup, but I'm curious if you remember offhand, did you use any extra lighting for #3 or just ambient? And was #2 shot in studio or on location? Beautiful!

I try to remember all the lighting setups. Every once in a while I'd go back my old images and see where I messed up or what I should have done. I may not remember exif info because I feel that it's irrelevant when it comes to lighting. And all situations are different so exif in one image wouldn't make sense in another.

1 and 2 were shot in the studio. 3 was outside the studio at our neighbors flower pot thingy. I used a 4x6' white reflector. You can see it in her eyes. It's set up just out of the frame.
