i was getting the itch to shoot, so i called up my friend and frequent "personal" model (she hasn't really done alot of modeling, besides with me) Sharayah for a shoot in deep ellum. all natural light, with a white reflector. here's a couple for now, i'll add more later. oh, and the rough/harsh processing is on purpose....

one of my favorites

she really wanted this one

Love the first one. The second one is just too over exposed for my taste (I know that this is probably what you were going for).

andrew - they are slightly soft off the camera since i was at f/1.8, which makes the dof reeeaalllyyyy shallow (~3/4's of an inch). i always forget to stop down a little more when i'm that close.

thanks to the rest of ya'll

here's another, but i can't decide on using a border or not?

Ditch the border, but I like the last image best.

dan - the hair is exactly what i wanted , something teased up real big

thanks for the input on the border. the model loves it, and i think i'll keep it as well. it's just 'different' than most of the stuff in have in my port.

here's the latest:

thanks. ya'll.

andre- i actually got the idea from the very first shot in the thread. saw her reflection in the window after i took the shot and remembered a vacant storefront that had large windows from our preshoot drive around. so, at the end of the shoot we went to that storefront and it all worked out . well except for a dbag that kept whistling at her.
