So, I pulled some time to shoot with this lady who is jumping into modeling.
For your entertainment, I pulled a dumb butt move ... I actually packed up my car with all my equipment, thought I had everything.
Picked up an assistant and then arrived to find out ... I forgot my light stands ... nice.
So, I had the extra help hold up my light. Lol.
Okay ... well tell me what you guys think. After being disgruntled by forgetting my stands, I wasn't fully feeling this shoot.

The first one seems to be a little blown out. I like the lighting in the last three better. | | | |

Ray, sorry to hear about the frustration! But I am glad you were able to complete the session. I like the model and the locations you picked - poses and expressions are nice too.
I do wish the background had more detail - but I guess you ran out of ambient light in the middle of the shoot - even raising the ISO to 800 to capture whatever ambient was there may not have been enough...

Thanks guys for your time and comments.
Yeah the first one was a bit over exposed. But I did what I could in post to make it work.
Paco, yes the day was ending quick, so I had to shoot quick.
I really wanted to get the water because it has a small walk way that goes right the middle of the pond. I will be visiting this location again.
It's the frustrations that help you become more aware of things for the next time you shoot.

I don't mind at all. That's what we are here for ... to help each other out.
It's Crenshaw park in Pasadena.
They are usually pretty empty ... but it was full this day.
Has a real cool walk way that crosses the middle of the pond.

Thanks David ... yeah its not to bad of a place. There were alot of people running there and it's a small run area.
I don't know if I would go there running ... I for one like the track around the Rice University area on Main. Now there's tons of people running there ... but there's also lots of room.
