Lifestyle shoot today (six images) - 10-24-2010, 05:40 PM

Early this morning I did a lifestyle shoot with four fun sisters. We had fun and the images show it. Ambient light without any modifiers.

Comments and feedback welcome. Images are intended to be used for stock purposes.

#1. A bit of story telling with something happening outside the frame. I used the mini laptop and cups as simple props. The table with the props gives me a foreground for more depth.

#2. Didn, include foreground in front of the main subject - only depth in the background. It was quite windy here and the hair was a constant headache. I like how she posed her hands on this image.

#3. Simple headshot with flying hair!

#4. A headshot with more postprocessing - at her request. This is the only image in the set with obvious postprocessing; the rest were only minimally adjusted... I am not much into creative postprocessing, cross processing, LR presets, etc. I should have instructed her not to put all her weight on her arms, oh well!

#5. A bit of sisterly love and fun.

#6. Hear no evil, speak no evil, but peak some evil.

Your pics are always awesome Paco! And especially that you can get such beauty from ambient light. Amazing. Just a few things bug me a bit though.

In number 2 I would have liked to have seen her head turned more towards the camera. It looks a bit awkward to me. Also, the one of them kissing the sister's cheek would have been nice to see their faces more. Maybe the one on the right should have pulled her hair behind her ear? Just my thoughts.

thank you, Charrie! I appreciate your kind comments. Here is a variation #2 that's probably closer to what you expect to see.

the kiss picture was very spontaneous, and I didn't want to force it by reshooting :-) it was a judgment call to keep the natural spontaneous flow, at the expense of a less than perfect image. Compromises....

Yes, I like this one better. She's gorgeous! And totally understand about spontaneous shots. Sometimes those are the ones people buy the most!
